Dear Colleagues,

On Saturday 6 February 1999, we were able to publish an research letter in THE LANCET (Vol.353 No.9151 Pages 466-467) about carbon monoxide and herbal cigarettes. The NTB-cigarette produced by Arkopharma France, which was sold in Austrian pharmacies (JLH : they are still sold in French pharmacies !) was taken off the market (we informed our ministery of health before publishing....)
Now the HONEY ROSE CIGARETTE another herbal cigarette is sold in our pharmacies.......
On the hard pack you can read the information: "Guaranteed tobacco and nicotine free, Honeyrose Herbal Cigarettes offer a unique smooth flavour for a lighter, satisfying smoke."  !!!!!!!
This product is made in England and we want to put your attention on this new public health issue, and want to hear your comment on this...

Best regards
Ernest Groman
